Bahreenah Poll Herefords relocated 60 klms to the west of Guyra in June 2014 which provides four distinct seasons and allows the breeding herd to enjoy a tree studded environment on an undulating mixed soil type block where the focus continues to be producing beef off grass.

While Bahreenah is Australia’s oldest Poll stud, proudly contributing to the base female lines of many of this countries’ current and former studs, predominately the focus of the breeding program has always been structure and doing ability. In recent times the herd has again sort to benchmark the breeding program by supporting the youth movement and providing heifers for our regional youth to participate in our strong Northern group Youth program which in turn has seen the stud return to the show ring after a long absence with considerable success.  This has helped to reinforce the breeding program, and sire selection focus is meeting industry demands.

The majority of the steer portion of our production is annually purchased by the same backgrounder as weaners and finished through the Whyalla feedlot, with our bulls sold on property or at Dubbo and the annual Glen Innes bull sales.

Visitors are always welcome.
